The Really New Housewife of Statesboro

I've decided to write a blog to document my family's move to the big ol' town of Statesboro, GA. My husband, Lee, has recently accepted a Major Gifts Officer position in the Advancement Office at Georgia Southern University.

I have been asked on several occasions whether or not I am excited about this move. My typical response is "I have mixed feelings". I have lived in Middle Georgia my entire life, well, except for the three months I served as a missionary in Ocean City, MD. Needless to say, this will not be the easiest of transitions for me. I like my friends, my routine, and having my family close by. I do not enjoy the feeling of "returning to college" I get when thinking of renting an apartment for an indefinite amount of time.

I will not, however, miss the two hours in the car we spend driving to Milledgeville for work everyday. I hope that this will be a great opportunity for my husband, Ethan, and I to start over in a new community.

So, here we go!
